Dragon Age: Inquisition's Protagonist Returns to DATV

"It's good to see you again!"

After nearly a decade of waiting, Bioware's Dragon Age: The Veilguard is finally coming at the end of next month. As the sequel to the 2014 Dragon Age: Inquisition, it surprisingly brings back elements from the original game, which has already made some fans happy and emotional.

As unveiled by IGN's review video, which takes a deeper look at the game's character creator feature, players will be able to choose from the main character background options in Inquisition. What's even better, players can customize their voices and select which of the four potential voice actors will represent them. Hearing "It's good to see you again" already made some fans burst into tears.

The character creator in Dragon Age: The Veilguard has been greatly improved compared with that in Dragon Age: Inquisition. The new protagonist, Rook, will have as many as 88 different hairstyles, "along with all kinds of tattoos, makeup, facial hair and more for humans, elves, dwarves and Qunari."

Except for an overhauled customization, BioWare also makes it possible to turn off death in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, scaling from the easiest to the hardest playstyle; you can also customize class-specific keybinds and switch between them with ease, which is pretty convenient.

Earlier this year, a 20-minute video was unveiled to showcase the gameplay and action combat, giving fans a deep look at what the first part of the game will be like. Also last month, publisher EA announced Dragon Age: Vows & Vengeance, an eight-episode podcast series that tells more about companions in the game.
