Dragon Age: The Veilguard Gets Free Character Creator & New Update

To celebrate the Dragon Age day, which was on December 4, Bioware has released new patch notes and a character creator for Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

The patch notes introduce new content, quality of life changes, and numerous bug fixes. The novel content includes Dragon Age 2 Hawke's iconic outfit with armor, body paint, and face paint, along with two new complexions for the Qunari lineage. The new patch notes add an in-game setting to turn off Bloom and a Take Photo button on the pause screen to take screenshots during conversations and cinematics on PC.

Also, Patch 4 reverts the change introduced in the previous update. Patch 3 offered a line on the screen showing where a Photo Mode screenshot was saved. In the new update, the developers modified it due to a safety concern brought to their attention by some content creators. According to the new patch notes, PC players can find their Photo Mode screenshots in Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age: The Veilguard/screenshots.

The new character creator is free and is available on all platforms. It allows those who have not yet played Dragon Age: The Veilguard to create a Rook before buying the full game and transfer the character over, as long as it is on the same platform. The Character Creator is not limited in time. In the video, which you can find above, the developers assembled a collection of some of the players' favorite Rooks that they've shared.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard was released on October 31 and already became EA's biggest singer-player game on Steam, with 70,414 concurrent players on its first day. Recently, 3D artists from BioWare shared their stunning artwork made for the game, offering a closer look at the game's world.
