With each passing day, the release of Dragon's Dogma 2 draws nearer, we are getting more and more information about the upcoming sequel.
Over a week ago, we talked about a new gameplay video that Capcom, the developer of the Dragon's Dogma series, released, featuring Fighter, Thief, Warrior, and Sorcerer vocations, and today, we also have some exciting updates for players.
Recently, in an interview with GamesRadar+, Hideaki Itsuno, the Director of Dragon's Dogma 2, shared that those who have never played the game will not have a problem playing the sequel as the second installment will feature a narrative tool called Amnesia.
"The game starts off with a main character who has lost their memory. That means that the developers were able "to have characters around you explain things to get you up to speed," Itsuno says. "So even if this is your first time playing Dragon's Dogma, you can safely dive in."
This plot element will help new players easily adapt to the sequel, even if they have not played the first part. While fans of the original game may recognize references and navigate the world faster, the developers don't insist that players should complete the original game. Even though completing Dragon's Dogma before playing the sequel might be helpful.
