Dragon's Dogma 2 Update Released Shortly After Announcement

Players are happy with the promised features which greatly help improve their game performance.

Just four days after announcing a title update, Capcom, the developers of Dragon’s Dogma 2 have made the much-anticipated changes live in the game.

As previously reported, this update brings several welcomed improvements, particularly for PlayStation 5 and Steam players. For PS5, the introduction of a frame rate cap of 30fps and the option to toggle ray tracing has significantly enhanced the performance of the game. Steam users, on the other hand, will notice an improved quality when DLSS SUPER RESOLUTION is enabled.

While these updates have been well-received, Xbox players have expressed frustration at the lack of similar improvements on their platform, despite spending an equivalent amount of money on the game. However, the developer has assured Xbox Series X/S players that “Updates to Xbox Series X/S are planned in the next few days”.

Beyond performance enhancements, the update also allows players to start a new game while retaining the data from the previous game. Some bug fixes and display issue resolutions are also included in this update.

The developer has added a side note to this update, hinting that more updates to improve the frame rate will come later:

"*These options won't affect frame rate significantly. Improvements to frame rate are planned for future updates."

For a detailed list of the updates, visit the official page. As an added bonus, the developer is currently conducting a survey where participants can receive a digital wallpaper as a gift. They are also planning to conduct another survey in June, focusing on game-specific feedback, so be sure to stay tuned for that.
