The plan is to sacrifice partition walls and social spaces for more working space.

Techland, a renowned game developer from Poland behind the Dying Light franchise, has confirmed their transition towards an in-studio or “hybrid” work model, impacting a majority of their staff.
The Polish game site CD Action first reported the shift, based on anonymous sources who claimed the studio was ending its remote work policy. Sources also expressed discontent with the lack of consultation and communication regarding the change, saying “team leaders, responsible for communication with teams, were to learn about the changes less than 24 hours in advance.”
In response, a Techland spokesperson told GamesIndustry.biz that the transformations aim to "create a more collaborative work environment."
"While remote work remains an option, we're transitioning most roles to either an on-site or hybrid model. Employees who live near our offices will be asked to work from the office three days a week. For those working remotely from abroad, we're asking them to come to the office regularly to foster stronger connections."

This change specifically includes employees living near offices working on-site for three days a week and staff working overseas are expected in the office for eight days every two months.
Techland, with nearly 500 employees and studios in Wrocław, Warsaw, and Vancouver, typically allows half to work remotely. CD Action's sources highlight a problem with the new policy: insufficient space. The Warsaw office, employing around 200 people, can only hold just over 100. There are plans to break the partition walls and transform social spaces into office areas. Yet, a more urgent issue to be solved is that there are not enough toilets, an issue that was apparent even when there were only 70 people.
