E3 2020 Goes As Planned Despite State of Emergency in LA

Entertainment Software Association pays close attention to the coronavirus epidemic but hasn’t postponed E3 yet.

Coronavirus epidemic has a huge influence on the gaming industry and leads to postponement of a number of events, including Game Developers Conference. 

The City of Los Angeles has declared a state of emergency in the region due to the epidemic. Facing the news, Entertainment Software Association that runs Electronic Entertainment Expo stated that it pays close attention to the situation but doesn’t postpone the expo yet. E3 is planned to take place in June 2020.

“The health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, partners, and staff is our top priority. While the ESA continues to plan for a safe and successful E3 show June 9-11, 2020—we are monitoring and evaluating the situation daily.”
