E3’s 2021 Physical Event Has Officially Been Canceled

New details from Los Angeles city documents confirm earlier reports.

New Los Angeles city documents revealed that E3 2021's physical event has officially been canceled. VGC spotted a new report from the Board of Los Angeles Convention and Tourism Development Commission saying that the E3 2021 live event is canceled. The same report also notes that the city is "working with the production team on broadcast options at LA Live/LACC."

Previously, ESA, the team behind the event, confirmed  that E3 2021 is still happening but they plan to "transform the E3 experience for 2021."

"We can confirm that we are transforming the E3 experience for 2021 and will soon share exact details on how we’re bringing the global video game community together," ESA said. "We are having great conversations with publishers, developers and companies across the board, and we look forward to sharing details about their involvement soon."
