EA Is Asking Players If They Want Dead Space 2 & 3 Remakes
A new EA survey apparently hints that fans' hopes for the Dead Space 2 remake are closer to reality than expected.
Motive Studios and Electronic Arts' Dead Space, a remake of the survival horror game from Visceral Games, has been a major success, both critically and commercially, with people praising it for its enhanced visuals and gameplay improvements as well as expanded level design and storyline.
Given the remake's high appreciation, it won't be a surprise if EA decides to continue working on the series and release a reimagined version of the entire original Dead Space franchise. And apparently, the publisher already has plans to recreate the second and the third parts of the series – at least, this is what it is seeking players' opinions on.
As reported by Reddit user VoidUnity and Twitter user Dillon Rogers, EA has started conducting a survey among fans to determine their interest in receiving remakes of Dead Space 2 and 3. Most likely, the results will not be revealed to the public but, judging by the fans' response on social media, the ultimate answer seems to be a definite "yes".
While fans are eagerly anticipating the Dead Space 2 remake, some have raised concerns regarding the third installment's remake, which has sparked a debate on whether it's a good idea.
Considering that the original Dead Space 3 was released to mixed reception, some players believe that devs will have to not just rework the game but create an entirely new title. Meanwhile, others say that a remake would be a good opportunity for EA to finally fix many of the original game's flaws.
