Easy Full-Body Tracking For VRChat With Moverse
Studio-grade, minimal equipment, and made for your room.
Moverse launched its Kickstarter today for Moverse Capture for VRChat, a new full-body tracking system aiming to bring markerless motion capture into people's homes. It's made with the VRChat community in mind, but thanks to SteamVR support, it can also be used with other full-body tracking apps.
It's being pitched as an easy, hassle-free option, no straps, batteries, or base stations needed. Instead, it uses a compact camera setup and Moverse's markerless tracking system, so you can go from setting it up to actually moving in VR pretty quickly.
Moverse Capture for VRChat is a one-time purchase with no subscriptions, and the developer emphasizes that everything runs locally on your PC, none of your video is stored, recorded, or sent to the cloud. It's aimed at machines with an NVIDIA 3000-series GPU (or equivalent) and an i5 CPU. With your purchase, you get Luxonis OAK-1 W cameras, desk tripods, USB cables, a calibration board, and the software license included.

The Kickstarter offers three options. The Individual License, priced at €299, is just the software, perfect for those who already have Luxonis OAK-1 W cameras or want to get them separately. The Full Starter Kit costs €799 and includes three cameras, cables, adjustable tripods, and the software license. The Supporter Kit is €1,199 and comes with everything in the Full Starter Kit plus a custom-fitted protective case for easy portability.
Moverse currently estimates shipping to begin in September. Find out more and back the Kickstarter here.
