A Reddit user Zahir Zone showed a way of making a censor effect on 3D visualizations using Unity.
The video showcased by the creator depicts people with this effect added to their faces. The artist shared that the censoring blur was added using a sphere parented to the head with censor material.
Previously, Technical Artist and Game Developer Christian Sparks shared a similar technique of adding a censorship effect in Unreal Engine 5, which implies applying the material to a sphere and attaching it to a UE5 mannequin, and shared the setup behind this material, allowing others to easily recreate the effect themselves.
