Learn how Unreal Engine 5's new character physics tools can be used to create a petable digital dog with this informative presentation given by Andreas Suika.

The Epic Games team has shared the recording of their "New Character Physics in UE5: Can You Pet the Dog?" talk, initially shared during this year's Game Developers Conference by Game Developer and Epic's Example Content Lead Andreas Suika

In this session, Andreas provided a comprehensive overview of the new Physics Control component, explaining how it how to utilize it to set up simple and intuitive physically-based controls to a Blueprint in Unreal Engine 5, demonstrated the basics of getting set up by using a procedural worm to move around, and showed how UE5's new tools can be used to animate a digital puppy, which can be petted or played catch with. You can watch the full presentation attached above or by clicking this link.
