Epic Games Presents Twinmotion 2023.1 Preview 2

It introduces a new interface and video denoiser as well as adds support for decals and volumetric fog in the Path Tracer.

Epic Games has presented Twinmotion 2023.1 Preview 2, the next version of its real-time visualization software that is supposed to be released later this month.

The most obvious change is the new interface, which should make the software more accessible and easy to use. You can now change the scale of the UI manually and access advanced controls by switching to a two-column layout.

Another great change is the update to Unreal Engine 5.1, which makes it support more features in the Path Tracer render engine, including decals and volumetric fog.

Other new features in Preview 2 include an experimental video denoiser, which can denoise rendered videos and still images, and viewport resolution scaling – a nice touch letting you boost frame rates when working on complex scenes.

Twinmotion 2023.1 is available as a public preview now. Preview 2 should be launched later in March. It costs $499 and has a free trial.
