Epic Games has released Twinmotion 2023.2 Preview 2, the latest version of its real-time visualization software.
A lot of users will be happy to learn that you can now import files containing animated objects in the FBX and GLTF/GLB formats to render in the software. Twinmotion supports skeletal meshes animated using bones and skin modifier, static meshes, and static meshes animated using TSR (translation, scale, and rotation).
Version 2023.2 doesn't support animations without meshes associated with them, animated cameras or animated lights, and point-level animation.
Animation files can contain multiple animated objects and several types of animated objects.

Moreover, Epic Games enhanced the Paint and Scatter tools so you can now use any simple static mesh from the Library to paint and scatter, including meshes from the Quixel Megascans, Sketchfab, and User Library. However, skeletal meshes and assets with parameters from the Library are not supported.
Another improvement concerns the Path tracer, which now correctly renders transparency for water materials using Unreal Engine's "Single Layer Water" shading model.
