Annapurna Interactive staff, who resigned from the company last year, will reportedly take over the titles of Take-Two's indie label Private Division.
According to Jason Schreier's report, the former employees of the company behind Stray and Outer Wilds, will form a new studio. It doesn't have a name yet and will inherit the games and franchises of Private Division.
In November, Take-Two confirmed the sale of its indie publishing label in its financial results, though it didn't reveal the buyer or the price of the deal. According to Jason Schreier's Bloomberg report, the unannounced buyer was Haveli Investments, a private equity firm based in Austin. The company is said to have struck a deal with the former Annapurna staff members to fund the new company, which will distribute the former Private Division titles. They include Tales of the Shire, the Kerbal Space Program series, and an unannounced title from Game Freak, Pokémon franchise developer and co-owner.
