Expand Text or Summarize It with This Awesome LLM UI Demo

Neilson Koerner-Safrata showed an interesting AI concept.

Designer and programmer Neilson Koerner-Safrata has demonstrated a curious large language model (LLM) interface that expands or shortens texts based on your gestures. If you pull sentences apart, the AI will add another one between them, and if you push them together in a pinching motion, the LLM will summarize the text. The pinch size controls the length, while tapping a sentence creates its variations.

Neilson wants to make the experience interactive and playful, and I think he's on the right track; it looks smooth and satisfying.

However, some Reddit users have doubts about the project, its usefulness, and whether it can work reliably, although most viewers have supported the creator's idea. To combat non-believers, Neilson explained that the LLM will take the entire document as part of the prompt, "with the model sending back suggestions for the selected sentence, without modifying the rest of the text."

I'd like to see where this idea goes and what it can do in the long run, and if you're also curious, follow Neilson on X/Twitter where he promised to add an AI language interface every week.
