Extremely Detailed 3D Tank Made of 2,441 Parts
Atharwa Pankade shared his old work.
Atharwa Pankade presented a tank 3D model of impressive complexity: the vehicle has a whopping 2,441 parts, all lovingly crafted by the artist in Blender 2 years ago, when he was just 14.
The project was not finished, sadly, because of "the insane complexity of making it suitable for 3D printing." Oh yes, you were supposed to 3D print this massive construction.
"Not a single out of the 2,441 objects has a manifold surface. It was originally supposed to be for 3D printing, but with that LOD, I could never finish it, and fun fact: I was only 14 when I made it!"
Even now, Pankade says he wouldn't make it with so much detail, even as a personal project. Despite the scope, he managed to do all this in about a month, working for around 4-5 hours every day.
