F1 23 Trailer Confirms Braking Point Story Mode's Return

The game will arrive on June 16, 2023.

On Wednesday, Electronic Arts unveiled the debut trailer for F1 23 and announced that the game's release date is set for June 16, 2023.

Formula 1 and Electronic Arts have also revealed that F1 23 will introduce a range of new features, including the highly anticipated Las Vegas Grand Prix debut, the return of the Qatar Grand Prix, and a number of other exciting additions.

One of the major highlights of this year's edition is the reappearance of the Braking Point story mode, which premiered in F1 2021 but was absent from the subsequent year's installment. Braking Point unites former rivals Aiden Jackson and Devon Butler as teammates for the fictitious Konnersport Racing Team, which is vying against the present generation of actual F1 drivers and teams.

Additionally, in a blog post that coincided with the unveiling of the game's trailer, EA pledged to enhance vehicle handling for both wheel and pad users and incorporate a range of features suggested by the gaming community.

Among these additions are the revival of red flags, which had been absent from the series for nearly a decade, the introduction of a 35% longer race distance that was previously exclusive to F1 esports, and a new color encoding system that takes inspiration from the world of film and television.

F1 World is a new addition to the series, designed to provide players with a comprehensive overview of the Formula 1 world by interconnecting various gameplay modes, such as Time Trial, Grand Prix, and Multiplayer. According to EA, F1 World will showcase a dynamic assortment of seasonal content, offering daily and weekly missions to keep players engaged.

In addition, EA announced that the cover of the game will feature seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, as well as Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc. Meanwhile, Max Verstappen will be the cover star of the Digital Champions Edition, which offers players a bonus of three days' early access to the game starting from June 13, along with other benefits.

F1 23 will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via EA App, Epic Games Store, and Steam.
