Fab's Latest Release Introduces Forum Threads, UE5 Plug-In & UX Updates

Fab
Fab, the new platform from Epic Games that replaces the Unreal Engine Marketplace, Sketchfab Store, and Quixel Megascans, is undergoing continuous development to restore its full functionality while adding new features, and Epic Games has just released another update and shared an overview of the changes.
As before, improving Search is an ongoing and iterative process. This March, after integrating historical data from the Unreal Engine Marketplace and Sketchfab into search rankings, the developers have now started incorporating Fab data into the search weighting. This means recent sales will now have an influence on determining search rankings.
Fab's other essential features, Unreal Engine 5 plug-in and UEFN integration, are now aligned with the improved UX. A key addition is the new Include 3D Compatible Formats option. The scrollbar is now wider, too, the left navigation panel remains visible when the panel width is sufficient, and all categories, rather than just a portion of them, are now visible in the plug-in.
Fab
You can now associate forum threads with product listings on Fab, providing a space for questions, discussions, support, or sharing work created using the products. Please note that this feature is not a replacement for reviews.
If you're a publisher, when your product is published on Fab, a forum post will be automatically created with you as the author. The title and description of the post will match the title and description from your Fab product listing, and your listing page will include a direct link to the thread.
As for the next steps, the developers revealed that they will focus on improving categories, enhancing the performance of the 3D viewer, and refining the UE5 and UEFN integrations. Additionally, they plan to introduce individual sales for publishers and integrate Fab into the launcher.
