The project is still unfinished.
The DLC-sized Fallout: Nuevo Mexico mod gets a reveal trailer after being paused earlier this year.
The mod is set in the massive metropolis of Mexico City, which was ruined in battles between factions struggling for dominance and survival. According to the team, the project is "a dedicated effort to share a unique vision of a post-apocalyptic world in Mexico." The modding team wanted to represent a dark reality inspired by the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout and highlight the dangers of a devastated world.
Fallout: Nuevo Mexico will feature new music and voice acting. As noted by the team, the mod's creation is still in progress and a "long way from completion," and the reveal trailer only gives a glimpse of what is intended to achieve.
The mod seems to feature a large world comparable to the size of the game's DLC, similar to another beloved mod Fallout London, which was released earlier this year. Recently, the FOLON Team, which created the mod, has unveiled their plan to form an indie company.
As Fallout: Nuevo Mexico is still in development, there's no release date for it yet.
