The community's on it.
Although Team Cherry hasn't officially released an Android version of the beloved indie game, which reportedly sold over 4.2 million copies within just two weeks of launch, dedicated fans have taken matters into their own hands to bring it to mobile devices.
YouTuber MakingTechFriendly reported that a fan-made Hollow Knight: Silksong port, developed by a Chinese team, has already been released, and a recent update introduced several optimizations, including support for touch controls and external controllers. In the video, it's shown running on a Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro.
However, it's important to note that the mobile port remains unstable, and there's always an element of risk involved. Unofficial ports often come from unverified sources and may not be entirely trustworthy. If you still want to give it a try, you can find all the details in this Reddit post.
Chinese fans aren't the only ones working on a mobile port, another team is also nearing completion of their own version of Silksong for mobile, and there are likely even more developers working on similar projects.
Interestingly, with the latest update to GameHub, it's now possible to install your Steam copy of Hollow Knight: Silksong on an Android phone and even play using your automatically synced Steam save files.
