Farthest Frontier's First Major Update Brings Gridless Build Mode & More
New players will feel more comfortable with the Guided Journey campaign.
If you're a fan of city builders, you've probably already played Farthest Frontier, and if not, this is the time to start: Crate Entertainment released the first major update to the game since its full release.
Farthest Frontier 1.1 introduces many exciting changes, including the ability to place objects freely in the gridless build mode, making each medieval town even more unique.
New players will now feel more supported with the Guided Journey campaign, which sets goals to help you grow your village gradually.
Other changes include a building management tool for adjusting multiple structures simultaneously, the ability to copy and paste building settings, a new wooden bridge, a rebuild all button attached to the destroyed buildings notification, and more.
“Thanks to the tireless work of the Farthest Frontier team, we’re able to share this incredible update with building placement changes I wouldn’t have even thought feasible a year ago,” Bruno says. “The Gridless building system will provide more power than ever for players to customize the look of their towns; while the Guided Journey is our response to new players seeking more direction and goals early on. We’re excited to see how players react and the towns they’re able to craft with this new freedom.”
Farthest Frontier has sold 1.2 million copies and seen 1.6 million wishlists, and this update will surely attract more attention to the builder.
