The PC release is bound to give birth to all kinds of stuff.
Final Fantasy 16 has just launched on PC after a year on PlayStation 5, and this means not only happiness for computer owners but also a whole bunch of mods.
We all know how it usually goes, and so does the game's producer Naoki Yoshida, who asked players to reel in their fantasies and avoid creating "offensive or inappropriate" mods.
"If we said 'It'd be great if someone made xyz,' it might come across as a request, so I'll avoid mentioning any specifics here!" Yoshida told PC Gamer. "The only thing I will say is that we definitely don't want to say anything offensive or inappropriate, so please don't make or install anything like that."

I understand, people love expressing their creativity in... unusual ways, even in games' native character creators, but I doubt fans will listen to Yoshida. Art has no boundaries! Even if it's Clive in underwear or Jill wearing a bikini.
Final Fantasy 16 was released on PC on September 17 after some "optimization work" was done for the game, and its director Hiroshi Takai believes the series is free from an "existential risk."
"As developers, we just need to keep creating what we think is fun – and if players think to themselves, 'They went in a new direction this time, but it was still fun,' then maybe that's all the dramatic change we need," he said.
