James Wan, the creator of The Conjuring Universe, will bring the beloved indie title to the TV screen.

Ironwood Studios’ driving survival game Pacific Drive, one of the Best Debut Indie Game nominees at this year’s TGA, will receive a TV series adaptation by filmmaker James Wan, the creator of The Conjuring Universe.
According to Variety, Wan’s film and television production company, Atomic Monster, has secured the right to turn the beloved title into a TV show. The show will be executive produced by Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett, who are from Atomic Monster, and Jeff Ludwig of The Menagerie Productions.
Pacific Drive was released on PC and PlayStation 5 on February 22 this year. It is set in a surreal reimagining of the Pacific Northwest, where players confront supernatural dangers and otherworldly hazards. Players are tasked to venture into the zone, gathering precious resources to restore and upgrade their cars at an abandoned garage serving as their home base.

It has won favorable reviews from players, with 94% of players on Steam recommending it for its amazing atmosphere, great soundtrack, immersion into the wilderness, and more. A few months after its launch, it had sold more than 600,000 copies.
