Fluent: A Modeling Tool for Blender Will Soon Get a 2.0 Update

The developer of Fluent has already demonstrated several upcoming features.

Rudy Michau, the developer of Fluent, a hard-surface modeling add-on for Blender, has announced the upcoming 2.0 update for the tool. According to the developer, the entire add-on has been remade from scratch and given a new UI to make the tool as convenient as ever. What's more, the upcoming update will bring new features and improve the existing ones, the developer has already demonstrated several improvements, you can check them out down below.

For those unaware, Fluent is an amazing add-on for Blender that covers all your hard-surface modeling needs. Besides allowing you to create and edit your own models, the tool also gives you the ability to easily make plates and wires, position pipes, turn any cut into a grid, and turn any face into a cloth panel. Plus, the tool is very intuitive and user-friendly, making it perfect for aspiring Hard-Surface Artists.

Here are some of the tool's features:

  • A variety of drawing tools.
  • Mirror and array widget for easy direction selection.
  • No visual pollution, see only what you need when you need it.
  • A menu to easily adjust the resolution, the scale, and the rotation of the grid.
  • Non-destructive workflow.
  • 3 levels of Bevels and 2 levels of Solidify.
  • Smart toolbox to manage whole the model in one click.
  • A Power Trip version, that comes with additional features.
