Hideaki Itsuno shared his approach to game development, and it's impressive how much attention he pays to the player experience.

Hideaki Itsuno, former Devil May Cry series Director, revealed his creative approach to designing DMC5, notable for its focus on player experience and the unexpected inspiration drawn from potato chips.
At the Archipel Caravan event, the developer said (via Genki JPN) that he designed the game's scenarios so that players knew when they could take a break to have a snack – for example, potato chips. Itsuno wanted to make it clear to players when a cutscene was coming, and ensure that they gave users enough time to have a break to enjoy their snack.
And that's not all – the developer also considered players' daily routines, suggesting that most have about an hour to play after getting home. He aimed to pace the game so that each one-hour session would feel engaging and satisfying.
Another great example of considering player experience is Indie Game Developer known as gitpullorigin, who purchased a cheap €89 (which equals to approximately $104) PC to test their upcoming game on.
