Former Disco Elysium Developer Doubts ZA/UM Will Make a Sequel

Martin Luiga talked about the developments in the company and the game's possible future.

Martin Luiga, a co-founder of ZA/UM cultural association and former editor of Disco Elysium, shared his thoughts on the recent news of the studio's key members leaving the company and said Disco Elysium 2 might not be released after that.

Luiga told Gamepressure that Robert Kurvitz, Helen Hindpere, and Alexander Rostov were "fired on false premises and the entire ordeal has been very traumatizing for both them and people close to them."

While he can't reveal everything going on behind the closed doors of ZA/UM, Luiga doesn't think the company will be making Disco Elysium 2 without its original creators:

"I think ZA/UM Studio in its current form will not be developing the sequel and I am unsure of the number of people that left in the company who also worked on the original Disco."

The game's future is unclear now, but ZA/UM is working on another project now. It's refused to comment on the situation so far.
