Game Developer Swammy has shipped the 1.0 version of the game.
After more than two years of development and multiple iterations, YouTuber and Game Developer Swammy has finally released the 1.0 version of the fan-made Attack on Titan game, which can now be downloaded and played for free.
Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the game offers a comprehensive titan-slaying experience, allowing the player to traverse the environments with a trusty omni-directional mobility gear and slay the necks of ugly monstrosities just like in the original anime and manga series.
As stated by the developer, the newly released version 1.0 of the Attack on Titan game comes with enhanced combat and movement animations, more gameplay features, several new playable characters, and a multiplayer mode.
It's important to highlight that this is only part 1 out of 4 upcoming releases for the game, with the developer planning to introduce even more new content in the next updates. Swammy explained that this approach was chosen to ensure that the final update is of the highest quality and to make the development process less stressful, which is understandable, considering that the Attack on Titan game is entirely fan-made and doesn't generate any profit.
