Cyberpunk gun fu game SPINE receives a brand new trailer.
You may have heard of SPINE already, a single-player cyberpunk gun fu action game that we've covered a few times before. As its late 2025 release window draws closer, a new trailer has been released, showcasing the freeflow combat system, which has been designed to make you a hero from your own action movie.
If you missed this one, SPINE, powered by Unreal Engine, is inspired by the developer Nekki's passionate about action movies. You play Redline, a rebellious street artist with a combat AI companion, Spine, an implant with its own mind. "Together, they stand against an oppressive AI regime, and every fight they have sends ripples through the streets they navigate, changing the lives of the people they meet."
Shortly after its early gameplay trailer was revealed last year and garnered significant attention within the community, the developer announced a live-action feature film adaptation, even though there was no release window at that time. Story Kitchen, the studio founded by the co-producer of the Sonic film, Dmitri Johnson, and the John Wick writer, Derek Kolstad, in 2022, will bring the game to a bigger screen.
To hype things up even more, the developer revealed that the game is now targeting the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 as a new release platform in addition to PC via Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation.
Below, you can see more of the recently shared clips and screenshots, which would show off the game's combat, atmosphere, character design, and more:
To get notified when the game is released later this year, we'd recommend you add it to your wishlist on Steam and follow the developer on social media so not to miss a major update in the future.
