Nikolas Samborsky showed off some great WIP shots.
3D enthusiasts who love the Fast & Furious franchise might appreciate this tribute to Furious 7 by Lead Cinematic Artist Nikolas Samborsky. The creator published some WIP shots from his upcoming recreation of one of the scenes from the movie, made in Unreal Engine 5.

The latest update for the project caught the attention of Josh Lange, who worked on Furious 7 as a Previs Artist. He praised Samborsky, saying he "nailed it" but pointed out some inaccuracies in the scale of the shot. Such words mean the artist is on the right track and we will likely get an even better scene than expected.
Samborsky is no stranger to recreating fan cinematics. Last year, he shared his work on a Top Gun: Maverick CG short made using Unreal Engine 5, Lumen, and 3D plane models from Ace Combat 7. He also created a digital version of Tom Cruise with Epic Games' Mesh to MetaHuman plug-in and DeepFaceLive.
