A Fan is Working on a Top Gun Cinematic with Tom Cruise in UE5

The artist has already created a digital version of Tom Cruise Mesh to MetaHuman and DeepFaceLive.

Senior Cinematic Artist at Owlcat Games Nikolas Samborsky announced that he is working on a fan cinematic dedicated to the recently-released box office hit Top Gun: Maverick. Being very fond of planes and an avid fan of the aforementioned movie, the artist decided to create a short 3D cinematic based on Top Gun. According to the artist, the project is being made using Unreal Engine 5, Lumen, and 3D plane models from Ace Combat 7.

Additionally, the artist has also created a digital version of Tom Cruise, who played Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitchell in both installments of the Top Gun franchise. To make the realistic version of the actor, Nikolas utilized Epic's Mesh to MetaHuman plug-in to create a base model and DeepFaceLive to give said model Cruise's likeness.
