Raphael Colantonio also said he's not interested in sequels.
Wolfeye Studios, a company led by the founder of Arkane Raphael Colantonio, announced its partnership with Galaxy Interactive, a venture capital fund dedicated to video games. The fund's support will help the studio develop its "ambitious new IP."
"Our partnership with Galaxy will allow us to maintain our independence, while also allowing us to get more ambitious with our next game - which is a dream situation to be in!" said CEO and Executive Producer, Julien Roby.
The new game remains a mystery for now, but it will probably be an immersive sim, as Colantonio would like to work on such games all his life.
When asked about the possibility of Prey 2 in the comments under the announcement, Raphael said that sequels are "not [his] thing," so chances are you will not see your favorite game's continuation from him. It also means we won't hear about a new installment in WolfEye's isometric action RPG Weird West world.
What we can expect from the unannounced title is that it won't contain NFT. "I have zero interest in NFT's in games or web 3.0 in games," Colantonio mentioned.
