Game Artist Caught Details in GTA 6's New Trailer That Make It Extra Realistic

Rockstar Games really worked on muscle behavior, lighting, and geometry.

Since a new trailer for GTA 6 was released, fans have been looking for every little piece that can tell them more about what to expect. And there is a lot to talk about, as noticed by 3D Artist and Game Developer Francesco Piacenti, a.k.a. FR3NKD, who examined the video and found a bunch of curious details.

Rockstar took body movements seriously and added jiggle physics and muscle deformation, so characters move realistically. There is sweat sliding down, complex hair physics, and real-looking water behavior when a vehicle goes through it.

Moreover, the studio worked hard on realistic lighting and reflections as well as volumetric clouds and geometry: it looks like fences, blades of grass, and even coins were all modeled individually. Overall, VFX and graphics are better than ever, which is probably not surprising.

You can also spot a raccoon in the trailer, but whether we'll see it in the game or not is not clear. In general, a trailer and a game are two different things, and there is a high chance that not everything will be as good in GTA 6. Still, I believe Rockstar can pull it off.

It has a chance to make everything work as intended, as the company has delayed the release, moving it to May 26, 2026, to "avoid brutal crunch."

Far better to just watch the trailer reaction and breakdown from the guy who actually worked at Rockstar as a dev!
