This week, Microsoft reduced the trial period for the Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Costing just $1, the trial period, according to the updated rules, will now be 14 days instead of 30 days.
After the trial period expires, players need to purchase a subscription, the price of which increased on July 6 by up to 100% depending on the country.
Back in March 2023, Microsoft decided to temporarily stop selling the $1 subscription for the first month of Game Pass Ultimate but in July, the company decided to relaunch the offer. The company hasn't released an official statement yet. As for other Xbox prices, on August 1, Microsoft increased the price of the Xbox Series X in most countries, except for the United States, Japan, Chile, Brazil, and Colombia.
Previously, Microsoft also revealed it is replacing Xbox Live Gold with Xbox Game Pass Core in September. The new subscription offers online console multiplayer support and a catalog of over 25 games. Learn more here.
