Gameplay Of Base-Building Survival Game From Frostpunk Devs

The Alters will let you create alternative versions of the main hero to survive on an inhospitable planet where radiation levels soar.

Check out the first gameplay look at The Alters, a base-building survival game driven by life-defining choices and exploring different paths you can take. You will land on an inhospitable planet where radiation levels soar. The main hero, Jan, will harness local Rapidium crystals to create his many versions: the 'Alters'.

The game is being developed by the creators of Frostpunk and This War of Mine. Here's the first gameplay trailer:

Previously, 11 bit studios announced the release window for their upcoming game and shared some details. The game will feature over ten thousand lines of fully voice-acted and animated dialogues.

The alternative versions of the main hero will be at "various stages and ages, making them different people - individuals driven by multiple motivations and torn by other emotions, who have done things differently, and maybe didn’t make our mistakes. While Dolski tries to win a way home and repair his shattered life in the process, it's up to the players to understand the weaknesses and strengths of Jan's tweaked identities and resourcefully balance the dynamics between them," reads the official description.
