Games Releasing in August: Baldur's Gate, Armored Core & More
Here's a list of some of the most notable game releases of the upcoming month.
Despite being largely considered a quiet month when it comes to new game releases, this year's August proves to be an exception with an exciting lineup of new games, catering to both AAA enthusiasts and indie game lovers.
Highly-anticipated titles like Baldur's Gate 3 from Larian Studios, the sci-fi mech action game Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon developed by FromSoftware, and EA's fantasy-shooter Immortals of Aveum are all set to bring joy to gamers everywhere. Moreover, some existing titles will finally reach new platforms, with Stray making its way to Xbox One and Vampire Survivors coming to Nintendo Switch.
The most anticipated game of August is, without a doubt, Baldur's Gate 3, which is set to hit the shelves this Thursday, August 3rd. Earlier, Larian helped gamers prepare for the release in advance by unveiling a detailed map that reveals the game's arrival time across different regions.
For players in Los Angeles, the wait will be over at 8 AM local time, while fans in Gent, Belgium (Larian's hometown), can expect the game to arrive at 5 PM. As for those in Sydney and Tokyo, they will have to be a little patient, as Baldur's Gate 3 becomes available on August 4 at 1 AM and 12 AM, respectively.
Another big-league AAA release, FromSoftware's Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, is set to release on August 25th, coming to PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
