"I don't have any basis, want or need. I don't have ownership to any of it."
Garry Newman, the creator of Garry's mod, said that he didn't care about Skibidi toilet added to Fortnite.
Recently, Fortnite had yet another wild collaboration with Plungerman and Skibidi Toilet, which was officially announced on Twitter. Skibidi Toilet was made with Valve's computer graphics software, Source Filmmaker, which is the basis for Garry's mod.
Some wondered if Valve of Garry Newman might take legal action over Fortnite's Skibidi Toilet bundle. He expressed his opinion in a very direct and clear way, saying that he didn't care:
Newman also added: "I'm not gonna sue." He then clarified the reasons for his position: "Basic logic should tell you this. I don't have any basis, want or need. I don't have ownership to any of it. I didn't make hl2, I didn't make any toilet models, I didn't make sfm, I didn't make any of these videos." Also, he wrote: "Plus I'm lazy af, he could be using a photo of me on the toilet and it wouldn't outweigh how much I can't be bothered."
In July, the Skibidi Toilet company allegedly hit Garry Newman with a DMCA strike, accusing him of unauthorized use of assets, including Titan Cameraman, Titan Speakerman, Titan TV Man, and Skibidi Toilet. However, later, the creator of the famous meme allegedly claimed that he wasn't the one behind the note, and the matter was resolved.
