Gaussian Splatting Videos Can Now Be Streamed Like Regular Videos
Check out Gracia's new demos.
Gracia, a platform popular among Gaussian Splatting enthusiasts for viewing splats in VR and beyond, has released several streamable 4DGS demos that play instantly in the browser across headsets, phones, and laptops, a big achievement from a technical perspective.
Click here to watch the full 4-minute performance by Amy May or other demos right in your room. An internet speed of 80+ Mbps and a Meta Quest 3 running Horizon OS v85 or later are required.
The company says new research and extensive R&D efforts led to a compression approach that preserves visual quality while fitting within the bandwidth of an average internet connection. For those interested in creating similar types of videos, you'll need a rig of genlocked cameras to get started, and reach out to Gracia with your details.
More streamable human performances captured in 4DGS are reportedly coming soon. Visit Gracia's website and subscribe to our Newsletter, join our 80 Level Talent platform, follow us on Twitter, LinkedIn, Telegram, and Instagram, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
