Geometry Nodes-Powered Animated GUI For Sci-Fi Device
See the process and grab the project files on Good Good's Patreon.
3D Artist known as Good Good shared a behind-the-scenes look at creating an animated interface for an imaginary futuristic device using Blender. In a previous career, they spent time designing GUIs for virtual instruments, often turning to Blender to generate randomized animations and designs.
This latest project continues that tradition, using a mix of noise-driven displacement, randomized animation, and heavy use of trim curves. Good Good draws inspiration from the sci-fi aesthetics of the 70s, focusing on the final visual impact. The animation file is up on their Patreon for those interested, and the artist mentioned they might consider releasing a tutorial in the future.
