Get Digital Twin Of Ancient City Tenochtitlan For Blender
It's lightweight, easy to manipulate, and works with both Eevee and Cycles.
Portrait of Tenochtitlan is a project by Thomas Kole that aims to reconstruct the mighty capital of the Aztec Empire, in present-day Mexico City, in 3D. Although crafted with care and respect, it's an artistic interpretation and reflects just one of many possible visions of the city.
You can explore it in your browser to get a sense of what Tenochtitlan may have looked like in the early 16th century, and now, the file is also available for download for Blender. Compatible with Blender 4.3 or later, the project works with both Eevee and Cycles. The scene has been simplified to meet lower-end hardware demands, so that anyone can experiment, and for optimal lighting, using the Sun Position add-on is recommended.
The developer emphasizes that no AI was used in creating this project, and neither the project nor its images may be used as input for AI. It's intended for use by scholars and creatives.
