A few months ago, we introduced an incredible 2.5D GPU-accelerated fluid simulation and rendering tool, Fluid Frenzy, which is now out and available to purchase.
Designed for use with the Unity Terrain, Fluid Frenzy equips developers with a comprehensive toolset to create interactive fluid dynamics, such as water, lava, and terrain erosion, enhancing the visuals and immersion of their games or applications.
Fluid Frenzy elevates your scenes by enabling dynamic water flow across your terrain, generating realistic rivers and bodies of water. The most notable aspect of this tool is its terraforming and fluid mixing abilities: if you ever wanted to make a god game based on these features, then Fluid Frenzy is for you.
Key features:
- 2.5D shallow water equation simulation
- Terrain interaction
- Obstacle interaction
- Rigidbody buoyancy and advection
- Interact with the simulation
- Dynamic foam generation
- Dynamic flow mapping
- Water rendering
- Lava rendering
- Terrain terraforming
- Two fluid layer mixing

To get more feedback on Fluid Frenzy, its developer FrenzyTheHedgehog released a demo with WebGL support, which offers five scenes with almost all features available to try.
Check out the demo and explore the documentation to learn more about the key features, setup instructions, sample scenes, and the various components and modifiers available in Fluid Frenzy.
Please note that the tool has limitations: it's a 2.5D shallow water simulation, so fluids flow only over objects. It has a speed limit due to pixel-based movement and lacks multiplayer support because of synchronization issues.
