Gnomon School of Visual Effects, Games & Animation Is Moving to a New Campus

Gnomon has trained thousands of students for careers in the entertainment industry.

Gnomon has been training digital artists for more than 20 years. Fast Company magazine referred to the school as "the MIT of visual effects" and described it as providing both degree and vocational certificate programmes, as well as over 100 individual courses for professional enrichment, to help students achieve their educational objectives in the entertainment industry.

The school has officially announced its relocation. Gnomon will move to a brand-new, cutting-edge campus in North Hollywood in the summer of 2024. The outstanding new residence offers a wealth of updated amenities designed to improve the experience for students, staff, and teachers while maintaining the core characteristics.

"Rest assured that everything that makes our campus special will remain, be it several tons of custom steel furniture, amazing student work all over the walls, inspiring hallways and lounges dotted with arcade games, and our amazing staff, faculty and students", said the Founder and President, Alex Alvarez in the official statement published on the website.

Beyond offering an art education, Gnomon concentrates on helping graduates find jobs by emphasising networking in the community and exposure to industry experts.  Graduates of Gnomon have been working with such companies as Digital Domain, EA, Weta Digital, Double Negative, Zoic Studios, Sony Interactive, Rhythm & Hues, and more in the film and gaming industries.
