Santa Monica Studios might be working on a Cory Barlog's game, as the studio is claimed to be developing a new title apart from the God of War Trilogy Remake.
The suggestion comes from a recent online discussion, brought to the public attention by Insider Gaming. On ResetEra, shinobi602, when asked whether the God of War remake was not the Cory Barlog project, responded "naw," and commenting on another message suggesting that the game might be shipped in 2028, the insider said that the project is "not that far (barring any delays of course)."
Shinobi602 also said that they expect the game to be announced this year, probably scheduling the release for the May State of Play or Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest. However, no confirmed information is available yet. The insider noted that if an announcement doesn't happen within that window, it could mean either a delay in the project's launch plans or a "shorter reveal to release."
Rumors about Cory Barlog's game have been circulating for a while, and fans are hoping this information could shed some light on it, especially if a release is arriving in the near future.
