Gotham Knights Has Officially Gone Gold
WB Games Montréal announced that Gotham Knights has gone gold and is ready for manufacturing and publication in time for its October 25 release.
WB Games Montréal has announced that Gotham Knights, the upcoming action RPG about the Batman Family, has officially gone gold meaning that the game is now ready for manufacturing and publication.
It also means that the title will most likely see no delays anymore. Gotham Knights was initially planned to release in 2021, however, in March 2021, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment postponed the launch until 2022 saying that developers needed "more time to deliver the best possible experience for players."
Gotham Knights was announced in the summer of 2020 at the DC Fandome event. The game was pitched as an open-world action RPG set in the beloved Gotham City. The title takes place at the time after the death of the city's famous protector, Batman, and tells the story of the Batman Family – Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin – who have to protect the citizens fighting against the criminal underworld that has swept the streets of Gotham City.
In early August, the Gotham Knights developers published a 16-minute gameplay video showing off the first time players take control of one of the Knights, Batgirl. On August 16, Warner Bros. Games also released a character trailer for Red Hood.
Gotham Knights is scheduled to release on October 25, 2022. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
