It is not a remaster or a remake though.
Earlier today, THQ Nordic revealed that the first chapter in the Gothic series will be released on Nintendo Switch. The company has also shared an announcement trailer.
The developers announced the Nintendo console will receive the original game, not a remaster or remake. The version will have numerous improvements though, including enhancements to the controls, performance, and AI behavior. The developers have also fixed several bugs found in different quests and dealt with visual glitches.

Gothic Classic will be available on Nintendo Switch on September 28, 2023. You can also find some places where you could pre-order the physical edition of the game, priced at around 30 euros.
