The material was made by Antoine Déjean for his new project.
Following months of dedicated effort, 3D Material Artist Antoine Déjean has finally unveiled his latest masterpiece – a breathtaking depiction of an impressive stone house nestled somewhere in the rural landscapes of Southern France.
Conceived as an opportunity to "break away from previous work" and experiment with different workflows, the scene highlights the outstanding fully-procedural roof tiles material made by Antoine with Substance 3D Designer and then photo-based for the stone wall with Substance 3D Sampler. In addition to the Substance 3D toolset, Antoine also utilized Blender, Marmoset Toolbag, and Unreal Engine 5 to bring the project to life.
Moreover, the scene's roof tiles material has also been released and is now available free of charge via Antoine's ArtStation page. The author notes that the material was created with Substance 3D Designer 13 and should work with this and later versions. You can download it by clicking this link.
Previously, the artist also joined 80 Level to tell us how the battery pile material was made, explain how the simulation was done in Blender, and share some tips for beginner artists. You can read Antoine Déjean's full breakdown here.
