The publisher is set to release "several groundbreaking titles" in fiscal year 2025.
Take-Two Interactive has recently released its latest financial report, hinting at the possibility that the highly-anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 might be launched as soon as 2024. In their earnings report press release, the company unveiled their aim to generate $8 billion in fiscal year 2025, commencing in April 2024, through the release of "several groundbreaking titles."
Although they didn't explicitly mention a new GTA game, it seems highly probable that Take-Two's desired financial target is most likely to be achieved by delivering the long-awaited next installment in the series, considering that the company has only reported $5.3 billion for the financial year 2023 and $3.5 billion for 2022, as well as the remarkable success of GTA V, which earned $1 billion within just 24 hours of its release.
"Our forecast reflects the challenging consumer backdrop, as well as an extension of the development timelines for several high-profile, long-awaited titles in our pipeline," Take-Two wrote. "We believe that we will enter our next phase of growth in Fiscal 2025, as we plan to deliver several groundbreaking titles that we anticipate will set new standards of quality and success and enable us to deliver over $8 billion in Net Bookings and over $1 billion in Adjusted Unrestricted Operating Cash Flow. We expect to sustain this momentum with additional growth in operating performance in Fiscal 2026."
