The company promises three new games over the next decade.
Grasshopper Manufacture, a Japanese development studio known for No More Heroes, Killer is Dead, and Lollipop Chainsaw, has been acquired by Chinese tech giant NetEase. The agreement was signed on May 31, 2021, announced NetEase in a new press release. The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, but the CEO of Grasshopper Manufacture Goichi Suda a.k.a. Suda51 promises three high-quality games over the next 10 years.
"NetEase Games understands the strengths of Grasshopper Manufacture Inc. and is willing to support us, and is an extremely reliable partner. NetEase Games will be mainly responsible for advising on our business planning activities and providing sufficient funding for game development," comments Suda. "We will make the most of this support and strive to offer three even higher-quality 'Grasshopper Manufacture Games' to all gamers in the next ten years."
