The developer said the team is constantly exploring ideas but they also try to stay focused on the story and Gwen Stacy is not part of this story.
However, the studio doesn't rule out the possibility of using the character in the future if more Spider-Man games are released.
"We’re always getting ideas, but we also need to stay focused on the story that we’re trying to tell, and she isn't part of the story we’re trying to tell, unfortunately for those Gwen Stacy fans out there. But who knows?"
