Hackers Reportedly Breached Ready or Not Developer and Stole Its Full Source Code

The personal data of players and staff wasn't stolen.

Recently, Insider Gaming revealed that hackers from an undisclosed group stole 4TB of data (equivalent to over 2.1 million files) related to Ready or Not, an intense, tactical, first-person shooter developed by Void Interactive. The breach reportedly occurred in March but was only publicized in mid-April. As of now, the game developers have not commented on the incident.

The hackers claim that they stole the full source codes for the PC version of the shooter and upcoming console editions, as well as performance test results. The reporters at Insider Gaming also apparently viewed images of Ready or Not being played on a PlayStation 4 test kit.

The good news is that the data breach does not seem to have compromised the personal information of players or Void Interactive employees involved in the game's development. It appears that the stolen files are solely linked to the technical aspects of Ready or Not.
