During the Geeked Week 2023 livestream, it was announced that the roguelike action game Hades will be released for iPhones and iPads via Netflix. The game will be available to Netflix subscribers and will not feature any ads or in-app purchases.
"We're excited to announce that our Game of the Year-winning roguelike dungeon crawler Hades is coming to iOS devices, including iPhone and iPad, courtesy of Netflix Games," wrote the studio. "Revealed at Netflix's Geeked Week '23, this is a faithful translation of our game, featuring all the responsive action and surprises available on other platforms. Read on for answers to some questions you might have about this latest version."
The release of Hades on iOS is scheduled for 2024 – the team plans to announce the exact date later. Hades was originally released on PC and consoles in 2020. It received an average score of 93 out of 100 on Metacritic based on critics' reviews and 8.8 out of 10 according to user reviews on the website. More importantly, the game received 74 awards for the best game of the year in 2020.
Last year, Supergiant Games revealed that they're working on Hades II. The game is expected to be released in early access in the second quarter of 2024.
